Artist Statements

Artistic landscape photography is my creative passion. I finally found it after much hard work, sacrifices and many tries, often frustrated ones, I persevered because I wanted to share the natural display of lights which I saw in the rising and setting sun, to unfold the landscape, to provoke real emotion and tell a real story.

I observe the setting beforehand, nothing is coincidence. I try to capture in a frozen moment, the most beautiful and sublime landscapes in the Mexican Caribbean at different times of day and in varied weather.

I carefully select each scene, I observe it…in my mind’s eye I compose the final vision. I feel peace and happiness… I allow nature to inspire me to create an aesthetic, harmonious composition with the elements I have before me. At times there is almost a surreal quality turn the image into a picture and evoke an emotional response in the observer.
